Forgot to post this

Michael's dad emailed us a picture of Michael and the pickup truck. This is the truck that Michael's dad just drove here to give us. I wish I could say it looks the same now, but it has aged since the picture and Michael has already started taking it apart to fix it up.

SNOW?

Who said it was winter? Last time I checked it was fall. Snow has been falling for about 2 hours now and it is starting to stick to my grass! Bring back the rain. It was cold as heck outside too.

UGH

I am SICK. Oh how I hate being sick! I started coming down with this illness on Monday and now it is in my sinuses. I hate it when I can't breathe. At least my throat isn't sore today. I stayed home from my strength training class yesterday. I was NOT feeling well at all. I hope I am feeling better soon. I have an anatomy lab midterm to study for. You just can't study when you don't feel good.

On a positive note, I got my first anatomy test score back and got 100%. I wish I could say that I didn't miss any, but that was my score with some bonus points added. I got a 89.7% without the bonus points. The average in the class was 79%. My instructor said the next test scores usually go WAY down. I hope mine doesn't plummet! I took my second Chemistry test on Wednesday. That one was a toughy. I will be getting the results back on Monday, let's hope I did as well on it as I did on the first one.

I am majorly stressing over the anatomy lab midterm. It isn't until October 9th, but it is going to be HARD. It is all fill in the blank. I have to know the name of every bone, bump on bones, impressions on bones, everything about freaking bones. Not to mention I have to know the names of the muscles...they have weird names. I hope there isn't too many things to locate on the cadaver. The muscles look so different on the cadaver than they do on the models in the class room. This Tuesday is open lab so my table is planning on going in the morning and in the evening to look at the cadaver and the models and try to get everything all memorized. My plan was to have a lot of it already memorized by the time we get together to make things easier, but with me feeling like crud I don't see that happening.

On Tuesday Halo 3 was released for xbox 360. Michael took the day off of work and Cameron stayed home from daycare so they could play all day. They played for 7 hours and beat the game. Luckily by the time I got home that night they were almost done and I didn't have to listen to it for too long. They had the game playing in surround sound so it sounded like bombs going off in the house. They were "lucky" enough, if you want to call it that, to be able to buy the Legendary edition of the game. You see, this Legendary edition comes with Master Chief's helmet. I wish I could say it was cheap, but is wasn't! Cameron has the helmet displayed proudly on his desk. If this thing were wearable I could see buying it, but it is just for display. Here is what it looks like:
Don't you wish you had one of these things taking up space in your home too?!

Today is a BLAH day. The wind is howling, the rain is coming down and all I want to do is sleep. However, I have to run to the post office to mail my parents birthday gifts, head to the bank and then run into the library to get some books that are on hold. I need to take some more Advil cold & sinus and get out into the cold to run my errands.

Yay me

I got my first Chemistry test back on Wednesday night. I got a 94! The two I missed were stupid mistakes that 55/68 students missed. Now, most professors I have had give those points if that many students miss the same question...not this one. Oh well, it is still an A even if it is an A-.

So, Tuesday when I took Cameron to daycare my car made a funny noise as I was pulling into the parking lot. I didn't know what it was, but I didn't worry too much. I then heard the same noise as I was pulling into my school parking lot. I called Michael to tell him what I heard so I wouldn't forget to tell him when he got home that evening. He said he would look at it. Ok, so then I left that campus to head to another, left that one to head back to the first after a class and when I was getting on the freeway I heard the noise, but this time while driving. I called Michael and told him, he told me to head home to get the truck to go to my last class, but since I was almost already to school I just told him I would go home after class.

Got home after school, Michael got home and he and the neighbor took a look. They thought that some half shaft was bad so Michael would replace it on Wednesday. The neighbor said that I could drive on it for probably a year without any problems. Flash forward to Wednesday afternoon. I was heading to lunch from work and my car starting shaking really bad and making that terrible noise. I pulled into the Subway parking lot and looked at my tire to make sure everything was ok. It was NOT! I could see a lug nut between the hubcap and tire. I was on the phone with Michael and he said that they didn't take that wheel off so it couldn't be mine. Well, I got the hubcap off and what did I see? Two out of five lug nuts holding my tire on and they weren't tight at all. My tire could have fallen off while I was driving. How scary is that?!?! Had my car towed home, Michael put new lug nuts on and drove it around because the neighbor said that the noise could have been from the loose tire all along. Yep, that is what it was. Had they taken that hubcap off the night before we might have found all of that out. Oh well.

Sorry for that long drawn out story, but you know, I was really writing it all out for myself anyway.

I have LOTS of studying to do today. I have a quiz on Tuesday in anatomy lab and a test on Thursday in anatomy. We are studying two different things in each class so I have to fill my head with MUCHO information.

Been a long time, but I am still here

Where has the time gone? I was talking with my dad today and he told me I haven't updated my blog in awhile. I knew exactly the last time I blogged because I looked it up last night. I just haven't had the time. However, I have had the time to read everyone else's blog.

Michael's dad drove down for a visit about 2 weeks ago. He brought us his old pick-up truck. This is the truck that Michael used to drive when I first met him. Kind of neat that we own it now. Michael has plans to fix it up and get it a new paint job. The truck is 30 years old. Michael took it for a safety inspection and emissions test the other day. It failed emissions, but they said it just needs a new carburetor. So, after Michael finds one he will replace it and do the test again.

Michael's mom and grandmother came down for a visit last weekend after Michael's dad left. It was great to see everyone again. Michael's mom and step-dad are planning on flying their plane down somewhere around the first week of October.

I started school on August 22nd, so that is why I haven't updated much. WHY OH WHY did I decide to take Chemistry AND Anatomy at the same time? I think I must have been on crack or something when I signed up. I am also taking a strength training class and actually enjoy it. Although, our goal is to increase our weight 5 pounds each week. Holy heck...that is TOUGH! I am going to be up to bench pressing 75 pounds next week. 70 pounds was hard enough today. My arms are quite sore today. I am sure I will be even more sore tomorrow.

I already have a Chemistry test on Monday. I also have a quiz in Anatomy on Tuesday. I guess that means I will be studying most of the weekend. I am pretty sure I will do okay on both, but so far the math in Chemistry has been tough. I took the required math before taking the class and got an A, but this is all story problems. I don't do well at them at all.

Ok, so I am off to study now. Sorry I don't have any pictures this post. They are in my camera which is downstairs.
