Another card

This card below was a quick one I did yesterday for a swap. It scanned a LOT darker than it really is. The yellow is actually quite light. I love the colors I used for this one...very cheery!

So cleaning was a no go!

Of course I had good intentions of really deep cleaning my house yesterday. Let's just say that all that was done was cleaning ONE bathroom out of 3, vacuuming the whole house and putting away the dishes. For some reason I was just too tired to do much of anything. I took about 3 naps and still felt wiped out after I got up from each one.

Today should be better! I have got to work on some card ideas and Michael will be working on his motorcycle so I won't feel guilty playing in my room and doing a little light cleaning today.

It is almost 7:30 and I am going to head out to the gym so I can come home and get things started.

I broke down and bought it!

Well, after much consideration I finally bought the Coach bag that Michael said I could have for our anniversary. This isn't the $300 one that I looked at before, but is the $200 one. I still can't believe I spent THAT much money for one stinkin' bag! YIKES! All I could think of was all the new stamp sets that I could be buying. However, I never really get things like this for myself. A friend told me to not think anything of it since Michael has just bought a new exhaust system for his motorcycle to the tune of $1100! I just don't see why he had to have it, but you know boys and their toys!

Today is a busy day for me! I have an eye appt this morning, then heading to the gym, then to the grocer for a few things, then home to clean my house! Oh my, you should see my house...on second thought, perhaps you shouldn't. You wouldn't believe how bad it truly is! Luckily Cameron will be at the neighbors for much of the day so I can get things done. I also have to come up with some card ideas for a workshop I am doing next week. I didn't realize that it was coming up so soon.

Happy Anniversary

Well, today was our 9th anniversary. Since the gift for this year is leather I bought Michael some new black dress shoes. He wants some leather riding pants, but I told him to get those on his own since I would have NO clue what type. He told me to get myself a Coach bag...I think I have one picked out now too. I don't know if I really want to spend almost $300 on a purse though. There are a LOT more things I could buy for myself for that price.

We went out to dinner last night. We only went to Red Robin since we had Cameron with us. We are going to go out sometime in the near future alone though. That will be nice considering we having really done that in a long time.

UGH!!!

I just typed up a HUGE journal post and went to publish it and the server had an error! How irritating. I will try to remember what I typed. It started like this:

I feel so BLAH! If you could see my house right now you would totally understand where I am coming from. I don't have the motivation to clean my house...that is so not like me. I am normally cleaning on Tuesdays and Fridays, but lately I just look around and say, "It doesn't look THAT bad" so I don't do anything. Well, enough days of that and you can imagine what it looks like. I think I may need to get a B12 shot soon too. I just don't have the energy that I normally have either.

I would love to work on some layouts today, but my scrap table is a complete disaster from my latest card frenzy from last week. You would think I could clean up after I am done, but I figure since no one else uses this room what is the point. Perhaps after the gym today I can take care of this mess.

This past weekend was spent doing some major gardening. We have to totally redo our backyard because the dogs that we had last year decided to dig up almost every plant that we had ever planted...including an apple tree! The tree isn't doing nearly as well as the other 3 trees we have back there. We hope it will do okay once the weather is good all the time. We have only half of our yard done so far...boy is planting expensive. We spent $500 this weekend on dirt, mulch and plants and still have half left to do. We are thinking of putting in a small vegetable garden on the West side of our yard. Cameron really wants his own pumpkin for Halloween this year so we will probably attempt to grow one or two for him.

We are trying to get our yard looking good because there will be people visiting this year that haven't been out to see us yet and would to have a nice backyard to share.

Michael is pretty fed up with his job and is going to start job hunting soon. He really wants to go into pharmaceutical sales. He was interested in this before and now since he was screwed out of about 22,000 in bonuses he wants to find something else. He really likes living here in Utah so he will look here as well as Seattle jobs. I really don't mind it here in Utah since the weather is a LOT nicer than Seattle most days out of the year.

Speaking of weather...it sure has been werid this year! On Sunday it was 75 at our house and yesterday, Monday, I came home to a lawn of white! Yes, it was snowing! It was coming down pretty hard too. Today looks like it may be a pretty nice day...however, not as nice as we had this weekend.

Well, I am off to sort laundry and start a load before we head out to go to the gym.

Card Frenzy

Today is card upload day for me...or so it seems. I made this adorable card below for a friend of mine.

Stampin' Up! Something to Celebrate Posted by Hello

Making some cards

I have been having fun with my stamps lately! I made this cute little birthday card (first one below) for an online friend. She said it really made her day to get the card.

The second card below was made for a swap that I am doing with my Stampin' Up! upline group. I didn't have much time to make this card to get it to my friend Sherrie in time for her meeting on Sunday. So, I just hurried and made this card. I think it turned out pretty cute considering I didn't have much time.

Latest layout

Unfortunately I had to take a picture of the layout because I can not stitch together a 12x12 page. I was finally able to use pink in a layout! The pictures are from my new camera and printed out on the printer my parents bought for me. They look amazing!

A beautiful Utah day!

The sun is shining and I have NOTHING to do. I could be working on a scrapbook page or two, but I am not. I am sitting here in front of the computer doing absolutely nothing! What a sorry life I lead!

Cameron is depserately waiting for a friend to come over. They had to run some errands and he won't stop bugging me about when they will be here.

Michael is out of town this week. His boss' boss wants to talk to him when he is in Denver. We think it may have something to do with a promotion and moving to another state. I really will miss the friends I have made here. I will keep this updated to let everyone know what is going on.

Cassie...taken with new Canon G6 digital camera. Posted by Hello

What a day!

I had just gotten home and was getting ready to clean my house when my phone rang. It was my husband asking me to do a HUGE favor for him. He wanted me to drive 30 minutes south to pick up his salesmans laptop and have it FedEx'd to Denver next day. Cameron wasn't very happy about this since I had just told him he coudl have a friend over to play. I worked it out so she could come over tomorrow after we get back from the gym.

I am hoping that tomorrow I can work on some scrapping or stamping. I have a few birthday and anniversary cards to make for this month. I hope I can accomplish something tomorrow.
