I've been working on some pages. I will add credits later.

I just realized that I put different years on the next two layouts. They were taken the same day. Gotta fix that one!

Long time
So, it's been over a month since I have updated or posted anything at all. I am sorry! I hate when I go to blogs that haven't been updated...come on people I want to know what's been going on in your lives. Well, I am one of them.
I had my school orientation at the beginning of the month. I am so excited to finally start my classes and be on my final destination of being a dental hygienist. Classes start on August 26th and can't come soon enough. Here is a list of my classes this semester....I've never taken more than 2 at a time (well, I guess I took 3 once, but one was online and EASY):
Intro to Hygiene (Theory)
Head & Neck Anatomy
Dental Anatomy
Dental Radiology w/lab
Embryology/Histology
I am a bit lucky in that we are starting out the year slowly with only having classes M-Th. I was worried that I was going to be there M-F from 8-5. This semester I only start at 8:00 one day and I will be able to get Cameron off to school on the other days. I was pretty worried about him having to get himself off to school.
Yesterday I got together with Shannon to do a little scrapbooking. I did two digital pages while I was there and then later in the evening I made a little avatar of myself for a message board I am on.

I hope to get more pages done today, but I need to head to a bakery for some eclairs, clean house then go to a Bastille Day party tonight (thus the need for eclairs).
I haven't posted a book list in awhile. Here's what I have read so far this year.
Secrets of a Shoe Addict - Beth Harbison
Shoe Addicts Anonymous - Beth Harbison
Dead Until Dark - Book 1 - Charlaine Harris
Living Dead in Dallas - Book 2 - Charlaine Harris
Club Dead - Book 3 - Charlaine Harris
Dead To The World - Book 4 - Charlaine Harris
Deal Breaker (Myron Bolitar Mysteries #1) - Harlan Coben
Drop Shot (Myron Bolitar Mysteries #2) - Harlan Coben
7th Heaven - James Patterson & Maxine Paetro
Plum Spooky - Janet Evanovich
Pretty in Plaid - Jen Lancaster
Handle With Care - Jodi Picoult
They Did It With Love - Kate Morgenroth
Chasing Harry Winston - Lauren Weisberger
Pagan Stone (Sign of the Seven Trilogy, Book 3) - Nora Roberts
8th Confession - James Patterson
Mommy By Mistake - Rowan Coleman
The Shack - William P. Young
The Spellman Files - Lisa Lutz
Cameron starts 4th grade on July 27th. Where does the time go? I can't believe he is going to be in 4th already. He is a bit bummed that he didn't get the track (year-round school has different tracks for all the kids) he wanted, but he will be in the same class as a few of his friends. We kept him pretty busy this summer with hockey camp twice a week. He improved a great deal over the 6 weeks. I can't wait to see him play on a team again later this year.
Michael had a bit of a scare a few weeks back with a partially obstructed bowel. We thought he was going to need surgery, but the doctor had him go on a clear liquid diet for a week and the obstruction cleared itself up. We are thankful that he didn't have to undergo abdominal surgery as this is something can reoccur from that surgery.
As I type Michael is up in Alaska salmon fishing with his dad. Fun times! He has hopes of bringing home 50 pounds of fish. Eeewww! I am not a big fish fan. Cameron and Michael will be enjoying the salmon though.
I hope I don't let this blog go for so long until my next post, but until then....have a great day!

Really?
I can't believe it's been over a month since I updated the blog. I haven't done too much during that time either.
My grandfather passed away Memorial weekend and I went home for a few days with Cameron to hang out with family and friends.
Cameron is officially out of school as of yesterday. He will start 4th grade on July 27th. He is currently in a hockey camp so he doesn't forget how to do stuff. He is always very sweaty when he is done with the camp for the day. Cameron was in a cute play at school and played a pirate. He does such a good job with talking in front of a crowd and singing. He was also in the choir again this year and enjoys that too.
Michael is on an adult hockey team that plays on Thursdays. He is loving it too. Their team was undefeated until this past week when they lost to a high school team.
I'm not doing too much this summer. Just working and hanging around the house until I start school full-time in August. I can't wait! I just hope the two years goes by quickly.
I'm hoping to get some digi scrappin' done this weekend. We'll see if I succeed.

Disney pages and some misc. ones too.
I have been working on some pages lately. Most of these layouts are done using templates so I can finish quicker.
My plan is to have a Disney book made. Some of the text looks blurry, but it doesn't when blown up.

Here are a few other layouts that I have been working on....

Digi Scrappin'
I spent some of my morning working on a few layouts. I used templates for these three pages and can I tell you it is SOOOO much faster to use a template. These templates are from No Reimer Reason and Moriginals.

We went to see Pink Panther 2 this afternoon and went out to lunch at Red Robin. The movie was pretty funny. We wanted to see Coraline, but it was pretty much sold out for the time we wanted. Cameron and Michael took off this evening to go ice skating so I am doing more digi scrappin'.

What can I say...we've been busy
Ok, not too busy that I really have anything to write about.
I started a new semester of school on the 16th. I am just taking Communications and it is just on Fridays so it isn't too bad. I've had this entire week off and had all these plans on scrapbooking. Did I do it? Sadly, the answer is no. I got a Cricut Expression for Christmas and finally took it out of the box this past Saturday. I still haven't tried it out. In case some of you don't know what it is it is used for paper crafting and cuts out shapes and letters. It is really cool.
Shannon and I went out to dinner and to see Bride Wars last weekend. It was a cute movie and it was great to spend some time with a great friend.
I started knitting again at Christmas time. I made some very cute wash cloths for a gift and kept making them. I have a drawer of them all to myself now. I love washing dishes with a fun new wash cloth each day. I was checking out Ravelry for new patterns the other day and came across this really cute baby hat. I decided I was going to try to make it. Well, I made it last night and it is super cute...here it is:Well, enough about me...here's what has been going on with the rest of the crew.
Cameron has been having fun in hockey and is improving each time he is out on the ice. Guitar lessons are going well for him, however, I have a hard time getting him to practice each day. He does it, but he complains each time. Cameron has been out of school since December 19th when we left to go to Seattle for Christmas. I can't wait for him to get back. I do like having him home, but I also like my days off to be just me at home alone...doing just what I want to do. He will go back on Wednesday. Hooray!
Michael is going to start the adult "Learn to Play" hockey in March. He took up ice skating when Cameron started hockey. He really enjoys it and has all the hockey gear already. He goes to a drop-in hockey on Saturday nights. The first night he came home from it he was sore and could barely walk up the stairs. He said he was the oldest person there...most of the people were 15-16 years old. He has made some good friends from going with Cameron to the hockey practices that are drop in too.
So, that has been us in a nutshell. Sorry it has taken me awhile to update the good ol' blog.

Goodbye my sweet friend
We just got back from Seattle and couldn't find my cat Patches. My sweet friend of 14 years has passed on. She will be missed very much. I hate that I wasn't here for her.

I'm still here
Here is our new Christmas tree that we bought at Modern Display after Christmas last year. In the years past we have had a very skinny tree and this one is quite a bit bigger. I was afraid I wouldn't have enough ornaments for it, but it worked out just fine. Cameron did most all of the ornament hanging. I moved a few of them. We were unable to put our topper on the tree since I plugged the tree in incorrectly. It took too long to try to figure out the correct way to plug it in so there is no star on top this year. I also need to buy a new tree skirt as ours is way to small for under it now.Cameron is loving hockey. This is him right before our game last weekend. He had fun taking pictures in the locker room of the boys hanging out. I snapped this one of him before I put the camera away.
Here he is trying to get the puck to go in the right direction. He hasn't made any goals yet, but he has come close.
I have been busy getting ready for Christmas and trying to get some crafting done recently. After I returned from my scrapbook weekend in Seattle I haven't done any scrapbooking at home, but it sits on my table waiting for me. I had all these plans to work on and finish some of the pages I was doing and haven't had time. After I finish up some Christmas presents I might actually have time.
I will be starting school again in January. I will only be taking my last prerequisite for hygiene school which is communications. I will be done in May with that class and then I start the hygiene program in August. I wish I could start it quicker and be done, but such is life.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season if I don't update this again before the year is over.

My baby is 9 today!
Cameron has brought us so much joy over the years. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Cameron was due to arrive on the earth on November 12, 1999. He took us by surprise and came a bit early on October 24, 1999. I was supposed to have a baby shower that day and instead I got a baby!
The day he was born. Don't look at me...look at the cute baby!
1st birthday! What a mess that chocolate cake made!
2nd birthday! He was really into Toy Story so we had a Buzz Lightyear cake. We still have the Buzz toy that was on it too.
3rd birthday! Thomas the Train was the theme this year. He had fun with his Brio Thomas too.
4th birthday! This was his first birthday in Utah. We didn't really know anyone so we had one neighbor boy over to celebrate. We did have a party in Seattle before we left.
5th birthday! Power Rangers were the toy of choice this year. He had more friends this year from daycare and people we had met.
6th birthday! Cameron wanted a Star Wars cake this year and none of the stores had anything Star Wars so Cameron had the idea that I could make a cake and he would stick some Star Wars action figures on the cake. He had his Star Wars birthday after all. He also helped to decorate the cake.
7th birthday! Superman was the super hero of choice this year. Coincidentally, Cameron also chose to be Superman for Halloween this particular year.
8th birthday! This day was celebrated at the Classic Skate Fun Center. It was a lot of fun having the party somewhere other than the house too. Cameron had a Transformer birthday cake this year.
9th birthday! The party is tomorrow. The cake is hockey related. He was excited about this guitar. He had never asked for one. Michael thought it would be a great thing for him to start up. We are going to get him some private lessons and who knows, pretty soon I might have real rock star in my home!
We are taking him out to dinner at Red Robin, our favorite birthday place for some mudpie and then to the opening game for the Grizzly Hockey team.
Today also marks the day that Michael and I have been together for 21 years! We started dating on October 24, 1987. Twelve years later we had this precious bundle of hyper joy named Cameron. I have always thought it was neat that Cameron was born on the day we had our very first date.
