Looks like a beautiful day!
I let the dog out this morning and this is what I saw. It was just to pretty not to share it with everyone.Have a glorious day. I sure hope it doesn't snow again like it did yesterday. What is up with Mother Nature? I heard a place near my hometown got 6-7 inches....that's Western Washington...just doesn't happen there.

Happy almost Easter
I made cupcakes for the first time ever in my 35 year old life! Here they are:Aren't they cute? These ones aren't as good as the first ones I frosted. The first ones I did are for church tomorrow. On Easter the youth group has a bake sale. So this is our contribution. This little plate is for one of our sets of neighbors. I figured I didn't need the extra ones so I am sending 6 on to live with someone else. I used a cake batter...did not want to make them from scratch. I thought it would be fun to get the Funfetti mix. Cameron and his friend that was over had the very first two. They were so excited to have a cupcake and they hadn't even had dinner yet.
I had to go to the physical therapist on Thursday. I've been having some problems with one of my knees and just couldn't take it any longer. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and he recommended therapy for it. I had an appointment for this coming Tuesday but while at work on Thursday it really started hurting me in a way it never had before. Before Thursday it was a pretty mild annoyance of constantly popping with occasional grinding. Two years ago or so I fell while walking the dog and ended up getting cellulitis and bursitis in my right knee. It would bother me a little bit while running last year but nothing a knee brace couldn't fix. Anyway, on Thursday I went to PT for the first time. The therapist is actually my bosses brother so I already knew him. He thinks I have a torn meniscus. This is the cartilage that acts as a cushion between your femur and lower bones. He said I need to do these special exercises for two weeks and then follow up with an orthopedic surgeon. I am going to go to the one that saw Michael about his knee problems. The PT said that I most likely will end up getting an MRI and then having surgery. So not fun and not what I wanted to hear!
Cameron says that everyone needs to go to church tomorrow so the Easter bunny can hide eggs for the kids to find when they return home from church. He thinks this because every time we get home there are eggs to be found. Today was the city egg hunt and Cameron told me the other day that he didn't want to go this year. He said he was too old. We've gone every year and I always look forward to it. I was a little bummed this year when he said he was too old. I guess my little guy is growing up!

I've been tagged by my friend Shannon.
1. I have been married for almost 12 years next month but I have been with Michael for almost 21 years!
2. I don't really like to cook, but I used to sell Pampered Chef where I had to cook all the time. I want to get better about cooking.
3. I'm a clean freak. Although since last semester my house hasn't really shown who I really am.
4. I hoard books! I have 228 books on my shelves that I have not read and I am always buying more. I also go to the library often even though I have books to read here. I even have all the books I own listed on my computer in a program called "Books".
5. I don't like tomatoes, but I love salsa and will sometimes use ketchup.
6. I can tie a cherry stem in a knot with my tongue.
7. When I first went to college I wanted to be a Spanish teacher. I had 5 years of Spanish and then had to start reading novels in college and decided that it wasn't for me. So, I changed my major to Psychology. I wanted to go into Child psychology. I'm happy I am not doing that and am now pursuing my dental hygiene degree.
I am heading over to Shannon's house to go to lunch and then see 27 Dresses. I have wanted to see this movie since it came out and Michael wouldn't want to see it.
Skating, scouts, school & other ramblings
I know, I know...it's been a long time since I posted. This post is dedicated to my mom and Shannon who have both commented that I need to post a new entry.
Cameron passed out of Level 2 skating on the first try. He is thrilled because now he can start his hockey skills classes. He will start those on April 3rd. There are 4 5-week sessions and then I think he will actually start playing teams. Now I have to spend some money and buy him some hockey equipment. For now while he is in the skills classes he gets to use their helmets, skates and stick. I have to buy him gloves, shin pads, elbow pads and something else that I can't remember.
I don't know if I officially mentioned that Cameron joined Boy Scouts. He is really enjoying it. The second week after we started was the big pack meeting. He received his Bobcat award and could then start working towards his Wolf. We're hoping to have most of his achievements completed for the Wolf by the next pack meeting on the 27th. He is almost there. He built a bird house last weekend with a little help from Michael. Michael cut the wood on the table saw for him and then Cameron pretty much did the rest. School is going okay for me. I just got back my second test and it wasn't as great as I would have liked...I got an 83.4%. I'm hoping this will be my lowest test score and I will get to drop it. We have our next test in about 3 weeks. You better believe that I will be studying my hiney off to get an A on that test. She has said it is our hardest test as it is on the endocrine system and I have MANY hormones to memorize. Spring break is this coming week so no school for me, but I do plan on getting together with the girls to study. Then the next week my boss is going on vacation so no work for me, but I will have school so I will also be studying for the test then too.
We are STILL working on finishing the painting in our house. I had a little accident a few weeks ago. You need to click on the picture to get the full effect.Michael was in Nashville and I was scared to death to call him about this. We have been keeping the paint cans in the house because it has been so cold out in the garage. I went to the other side of the bed to grab a can of paint and tripped over the bedding while heading back out of the room and OOPS. The paint can went flying out of my hand, dropped on the floor and opened. I screamed and then started to freak out! Cameron came running to see if I was okay. I was in hysterics since there was paint EVERYWHERE! I said, "Dad is going to kill me!" Cameron told me if I needed to blame someone that I could blame him. How sweet that my little child would want to take the blame for such a terrible accident. I told him no way was I going to blame him. I seriously did not know what to do. I grabbed something to scoop up as much paint as I could and then grabbed a small washcloth. I have no idea what I was going to do with the small towel though. I did break down and call Michael. I was crying pretty good when he got on the phone. Thank goodness he was at the airport and not on the plane. He told me what to do. I would not have done it if I didn't have him to tell me. He told me to keep it wet and use the carpet cleaner to suck it all up. So, I poured buckets of water, scrubbed and sucked it up. It took me almost 3 hours to get it looking like this!
Later that night I noticed some paint had made its way into the hall and had dried. I still haven't attempted to do anything with those spots. There is also some paint that I missed near the baseboard behind the hamper. Who knows, we may end up getting new carpet some day and it won't really matter that I missed this.
I had to go to the eye doctor yesterday because my right eye had been having some problems on Thursday. A few weeks ago I went for my normal yearly exam and told him my right eye had been burning. He told me to use some rewetting drops for it and it got better. Thursday my eye starting burning again so I used the drop and it didn't really help. By lunch time my eye was VERY blurry and I was getting headache because I could see just fine out of my other eye. Well, I called him yesterday and he wanted me to come in so he could look at it. He put some fluorescent drops in my eye and took a picture. I have a scratched cornea. He said it looks like it is healing, but I have antibiotics, drops and ointment to use for a few days. It feels better and isn't nearly as blurry now.
This was a LONG post. I have been tagged by Shannon and will post that in another entry.

Hello! Hello!
So, I haven't updated in awhile...sue me! I've been busy painting still and studying. I swear that is all I do. Yesterday was a busy day:
Clean house
Lunch with Michael
Donate blood
Get a rock chip in my window
Take car to get rock chip fixed
Pick up Cameron
Take Cameron to dentist
Grocery shop
Take Cameron to ice skating
Eat dinner
Work on cub scout stuff with Cameron
Watch TV
Fall asleep watching TV
Go to bed
I bet you want to go to bed just reading what I had to do yesterday.
I got the results of my first physiology test last Friday. I got a 92.3%. This is good considering I did tell my instructor that I was going to get an A. If only that can remain true for the following tests.
Cameron passed out of level 1 skating after just 2 rounds of it. He started level 2 yesterday, they did a lot of skating backwards which is what he really needs to work on. He also started Cub Scouts last week. He really liked it and looked forward to going again today. He will be getting his Bobcat badge at the pack meeting next week and then we can start on his Wolf badge.
I would post some pictures, but again, I am too lazy to head downstairs to get my camera.

Hello!
I am still here. I've been busy studying for a test that I finally took yesterday. I'm hoping for at least a "B" on it. I am so tired of the snow...I want it to be warm. This is what we woke up to last Sunday. The first pic is my neighbors house across the street. He was having a heck of a time with his snow plow since the snow was so tall. We only have a shovel and the work was HARD. We decided that we need to buy a snow blower so after the drive was shoveled a bit we left to find one. The only problem is that there weren't any to be found anywhere. They are already selling lawn mowers. Who's going to mow their lawns with all this snow on the ground? Come on people! We are still working on getting our house painted. It is taking much longer than I anticipated. We haven't worked on it much at all during the weeknights since we are too tired when we get home from work. I did manage to finish my craft room though since I use the computer in there I really wanted it put back together. I took down my shelves and painted behind them on Tuesday and then made a run to IKEA to see if there were any organizers I could use. I found some and think I want more. I am also thinking of selling most all of my stamps since I haven't used them at all in 2 years. I could use the money for some other things I am wanting. Here is how I have been living since we started painting. Most of you know how much I can't stand a messy house. Well, here is proof that my house does get messy. However, this is MUCH worse than it usually gets. I am planning on finishing the living room today so I can put the plastic away and get the room back together since this is what people see when they first enter my house. Last night before I took this picture of my kitchen it was MUCH MUCH worse...you couldn't see any countertop AT ALL!
Cameron made principals pride in January. The teachers pick children that do exceptional work and submit it to the principal. They get a certificate and a picture with the principal. He achieved this last year with math and this year it was spelling. I really like this principal. We got to know each other pretty well last year since Cameron was having a bit of a problem before we had him tested for ADHD. I was in her office a few times and they weren't happy times.
Well, I better sign off. I have to get ready to take Cameron to his ice skating lesson and then come home to paint. Who's coming over to help???

I am alive!
Hello!! I'm so sorry I ditched the blog for awhile. I've been busy and that's the truth! I ended up not being able to do the page a day thing...it was just too time consuming. I will try to catch up after the house is painted.
Physiology is going well so far. I had a quiz last Friday and missed two. It seems most people missed the same one I missed. I have another quiz this Friday and possibly an exam on Monday. I don't know if I am quite ready for an exam but if we wait any longer I will have too much to process.
We just started painting the interior of our house this weekend. Why oh why did we decide to do this? It took most of the day on Saturday to paint the ceiling in our bedroom, scrapbook room and upstairs hallway. I was supposed to be painting a little today, but I don't know if that is going to happen now.
I had my nail appointment this morning and then met my friend Celeste for lunch. We went to Red Butte Cafe. I was so glad that she was able to get away from work for awhile to meet me. She mentioned in her comment on my last post that we NEED to get together soon and I had just read that comment this morning so on my way to my nail appointment I gave her a call and she said yes! It was great to catch up with her for awhile.
I checked Lisa Bearnsons blog this morning and found out I won one of her drawings that she had. I can't wait to get my Hot Chocolate kit from her! Yay me!
After I get Cameron from school I should probably do the painting that I told Michael I would try to get to. Well, I need to put some groceries away and get ready to leave to pick up Cameron.

Still more house layouts
Getting closer to being done with the house layouts.
Today I have plans to find some new lamps for my bedroom and possibly one for the family room. I am tired of the ones we have. I may even look for something to decorate the master bedroom with, but I doubt it since I really want to paint it first. We will be painting our entire house soon...oh how NOT fun that will be. We are doing it ourselves and are planning on painting the ceiling too. UGH! First we need to buy one of those Little Giant ladders. I'm a little leary of standing so far up to paint our walls, but I will have to be the one to do it since Michael won't get on the ladder that high up. I wonder why!
Other things on the agenda for today:
Plan some menus
Go to the bank
Head to Gardner Village to pick up a Valentine table runner pattern
Go over my notes for physiology
Listen to my physiology lecture from yesterday
Pick up the clutter in the house
Take Cameron to the doctor
Take Cameron to ice skating
Watch a little TV
Read a book

More house layouts
I think I only have about 7 more layouts to do on the house and then I think I will be done with it unless I add some outside yard pictures.
I took Cameron to the ice rink today so he could show me how well he did yesterday during practice. I decided that I would try my feet at skating too. I spent $3.50 to go around the rink ONE time all while holding onto the wall. Oh my heck, that ice is slippery! I don't see how Cameron does it. This was my first time ever on ice skates and most likely my last. Cameron wanted to hold my hand and help me away from the wall. How sweet, but I would most likely have crushed him when I fell.
Shannon and I went to a punch needle class at the fabric store, Pine Needles, in Gardner Village yesterday. It was fun. We made a little heart. I would post it, but it is on the counter in the kitchen and I don't feel like getting up to get it and scan it. You can click here on Pine Needles and then on punch needle on the site to see what it is. I wanted to buy the punch needle, but they wanted $42 for the darn thing. I looked online when I got home and it is about the same price with shipping from other places. I might have to bite the bullet and buy it so I can make more cute little projects.

Yes, another layout.
So far I am doing good getting my one page a day done. Hopefully I will be able to keep it up even after school starts becoming more demanding.

Just another page
Here I am documenting...my kitchen (in case you couldn't figure that out). If you have read my comments, my friend Lilian, has the exact same countertops as we do. She has said we have great taste...I guess I will believe her.

Start of school & a layout
Today was my first day of the semester. It was pretty boring as all we talked about was the syllabus and how she tests. Since I already had this instructor for anatomy I pretty much knew alot of what she was saying and I had already looked at her syllabus online. I have already started reading the chapters for Friday. Hopefully I will stay on top of the reading this semester.
Here is the scrapbook page for today. I had fun with this one. I am not liking the ripped paper (the brown and red long strip) so I will pr0bably mess with it later. I am going to find a different brown paper for underneath the red to make it look better. I had fun figuring out how to thread ribbon through a hole and to cover up part of the flower. I've had this photo editing software since I got my Mac this spring, but I didn't know how to use it. I've had fun learning. I do like the layout this time though. It is pretty fun making pages about rooms in the house.
Off to read more of my physiology book and watch a little television before I head to bed.

Two more layouts
I don't love or even like this layout, but I had to get one posted before midnight at Big Picture Scrapbooking so I quickly threw one together.
Again, not loving this one either, but it is done. I found a paper tearing template online which made it MUCH easier to try my hand and digital paper tearing. I have been wanting to do layouts about our home so if we ever move, which is inevitable, we will have a record of our home. I don't have many pictures of our house in Washington so I made sure I took some of our home here in Utah.
Well, school didn't start for me yesterday. My instructor never made it back from her Christmas vacation. It is supposed to start tomorrow. I sure hope it does because I was really looking forward to a new semester.

Ice skating and a layout
Cameron decided that he wants to take up Ice Hockey. I shudder at the thought of lost teeth, but from what I can tell they now wear face masks that will not allow the puck to enter and they were mouth guards. Before Cameron can begin ice hockey lessons he has to have a little bit of ice skating under his belt. He began his first lesson yesterday. He fell quite a bit but the instructor thinks they gave him too big of skates so on Tuesday we will try a smaller pair and see if that doesn't help some. Here is my layout for today. I have so many darn pictures that I need to get on pages that I will not run out before this months challenge is over. I might have to try and do a page per day in February too. I start school tomorrow and hopefully it won't be as challenging as last semester. Although I highly doubt it will since I am only taking one class this time around.

My layout for the day
I am doing the Layout A Day class at Big Picture Scrapbooking so here is Day 5. It's not really a class, but more of a challenge to do 1 page per day in January. So far I have done it. This layout uses the A Boy kit by Jackie Eckles @ littledreamerdesigns.com

More scrapping
I am LOVING this digital scrapbook stuff. I have completed more pages this year than I have in two years! Scary that the year just began. If I keep this up I might actually get caught up...HAHAHA!!!
This uses supplies from Little Dreamer Designs with products from Heidi Larsen & Michelle Coleman in the Jolly Jingle kit.

This is from the Shabby Princess Holiday Magic kit with wordart by Cherie Mask @ 2ps

Happy New Year!
I haven't put new pictures on my computer yet from New Years Eve, but they will be coming shortly. Cameron did manage to stay up until 12:00. I was surprised that he made it and did it without a nap. I however, fell asleep watching a movie, but I was up to ring in the new year.
I've been having so much fun doing digital scrapbook pages. I did this page yesterday using the Deacon's Closet kit by Flergs @ scraphead.com
I did this one tonight before dinner... using the Rough & Tumble kit also by Flergs @ scraphead.com
I don't understand why they don't save as brightly when I save them for the web as they do when I have photoshop open, but at least they look good when printed.
